Gilles S. Attia concentrates his practice on securities compliance and corporate governance advice to public companies and the representation of high-growth companies, investors, and financial institutions in financing and technology transactions.
Mr. Attia has led most of the significant public offerings and acquisition transactions in the central valley of California of the past 21 years. He has counseled most of the Sacramento region’s leading technology and life science companies from startup through later rounds of financing and in liquidity transactions including initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Attia previously served as a senior attorney in the Office of the General Counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., where he represented the Commission in the federal courts and counseled the Commission on proposed rulemaking and enforcement actions. For 21 years, he also taught Corporate Finance and Advanced Business Planning and is currently teaching Federal Securities Regulation as an adjunct professor of law at University of the Pacific.

In 2005 and 2006, Mr. Attia was named a Northern California Super Lawyer as the result of a joint research project conducted by Law & Politics and San Francisco magazines.
